The Search for Tarzan in a Sub-tropical Jungle


Once upon a time in a land not so very far away, a Tarzan movie was shot on location along the “Wild and Scenic” Myakka River.


And now you can explore this very jungle on horseback with a modern-day adventurer, naturalist, and raconteur extraordinaire.


Since 2006, October-May, Tim Mattox has led nature tours on horseback through the Deer Prairie Creek Preserve. The preserve is a pristine wilderness area located a mere 30 minute’s drive south of Sarasota, Florida.
